When ZoneAlarm Pro detects that your computer is connected to a network, you have to decide whether to place that network in the Trusted Zone or in the Internet Zone.
The Network Security Wizard helps you make this decision by determining whether the detected network is public or private.

Using the Network Configuration Wizard
The wizard consists of four easy screens:
Screen 1: Welcome
When your computer connects to a new network, ZoneAlarm Pro opens the Wizard and displays the IP address of the detected network. View screen
Screen 2: Private Network Detected or Public Network Detected.
ZoneAlarm Pro uses the IP address of the network to determine whether it is a private network or a public network. View screen
Use the radio button to change the default location, or click Next to accept the default location.
Screen 3: Name this Network
Use this screen to attach a name to the detected network, so you will recognize it when you see it in the Zones tab. View screen
Screen 4: Wizard Complete
This screen summarizes your configuration of the detected network. View screen

Turning the Network Configuration Wizard on and off
By default, the Network Configuration Wizard is turned on in ZoneAlarm Pro.
You can turn off the Network Configuration Wizard if you prefer to use the familiar New Network Alert to configure new networks.
You can activate the Wizard from the New Network Alert box if you want the additional assistance in configuring network permission.
To cancel a Network Configuration Wizard:
Note: When you cancel the Wizard, the resulting New Network alert will place the detected network in the Interent Zone by default, even if it is a private network.
